Author Guidelines
Format
The body of the article must be arranged in a single column. This document is prepared in a format that must be used by each author in their article. Every submitted article must comply with the specifications below to maintain the quality of the journal's appearance:
- A4 paper size (21 cm x 29.7 cm);
- Left, bottom, and right margins for all pages of the article are 2.8 cm;
- Headers should be 1.5 cm from the edge of the paper and footers should be 2 cm;
- The number of pages for each article should be between 10-15 pages, equivalent to 4,000-7,000 words;
- This writing guide file uses the recommended standard writing rules and format, so it can be used directly as a template.
For letters and paragraphs, the font used is Tahoma for all styles. The font size required for articles is 18-point bold (for the title), 11-point (for the author's name), 10-point (for affiliations and email addresses), 11-point italics (for the abstract and keywords), 10-point (for the body of the paper and section and subsection titles), and 10-point (for headers and footers). Mathematical formulas should be 10-point equations (Insert Equation tab menu), with subscripts and superscripts slightly smaller (9 points).
The title is centered at the top of the first page. The author's name (without a title) is placed below the title, followed by the first author's affiliation and email address, all centered. The name of the correspondent is listed in the first footnote. The abstract should be centered after the author's identity, in 10-point italics, and written in both Indonesian and English. The English abstract should follow the Indonesian abstract. The maximum word count for an abstract is 150-200 words. Keywords are listed after the abstract, with 3 to 4 keywords written in 10-point italics to indicate the subject matter of your article and for indexing purposes. The left and right margins of the abstract are 4 cm (indented 1 cm from the page margins).
Submit Manuscripts
Authors must submit their manuscripts in two formats: (1) one file with the full author's name for the editorial board; and (2) one file without the author's name for the peer-review process. If there are other files from the main article manuscript or supporting data, authors can also submit them as supporting files. The manuscript must contain the following sections in this order:
Title: The title of the article in Indonesian should describe the main content of the manuscript, be informative, concise, and not too wordy (only 12-15 words), and should not contain any formulas.
Author's name: Full name without academic titles or degrees, written in capital letters. Manuscripts written by a group must include complete contact details. Affiliation name for each author. The author's name must be accompanied by the full affiliation address, postal code, and email address.
Abstract: Written briefly in English and Indonesian in one paragraph of 150-200 words, containing the background, research objectives, methodology, results, conclusions, and contribution of the research to science.
Keywords: Written in Indonesian, 3-5 words or groups of words, arranged alphabetically.
Introduction: Explain the background, including the problem/issue/phenomenon, the significance of the research, a brief literature review directly related to the research or previous findings that need to be developed, and conclude with a paragraph stating the research objectives. The introduction should be presented in a paragraph of approximately 1,000 words.
Methods: Clearly describe the approach and type of research used, research methods, and data analysis. Explain using sub-sections: approach and type, instruments, data collection, and data analysis.
Findings and Discussion: With developmental research or other designs, well-prepared tables and/or figures should be an essential feature of this section, as they convey key observations to the reader. Any information provided in tables and figures should not be repeated in the text, but should focus on the importance of the main research findings.
Conclusion: Conclusions should be drawn based on the research findings, problem statement, and research objectives. The conclusion should be presented in a single paragraph without any numerical expression. Explain the contribution of your research to previous research and/or the advancement of knowledge in mathematics education.
Acknowledgement (if any)
Contributors: Those not named as authors should be acknowledged, and their specific contributions should be explained. All funding sources for the work should be identified, and both the research funder and grant number (if any) should be provided for each source founded.
References: Manuscripts are written using standard citation applications (Mendeley/Endnote/Zotero). APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style is required. A minimum of 15 references, including references from the last 10 years, should be provided to relevant books and articles.
