Jurnal AL-Muta'aliyah is an electronic journal published by the LP2M STAI Darul Kamal NW Kembang Kerang. Manuscripts submitted to the journal by authors will be analyzed by the Editorial Team before undergoing the peer review process, which includes: (a) the manuscript's suitability to the journal's template; (b) the manuscript's scope; (c) the research topic's novelty; and (d) the adequacy of references.

The editor will notify you of the review results as soon as possible. Submitted manuscripts are first reviewed by the editor (pre-review). These will be evaluated to determine whether they are appropriate for the focus and scope of the Jurnal AL-Muta'aliyah, whether they have methodological weaknesses or significant similarity scores.

In addition, the editor will conduct a plagiarism check for articles deemed to meet the journal's criteria before submitting them to reviewers. We do not process any plagiarized content. If an article has more than 25% plagiarism based on the review results, we will send the article back to the author for revision of the plagiarized content. Journal creation is also carried out using Mendeley as a reference management tool. The language used in this journal is Indonesian.

If deemed to meet the criteria, the manuscript will be further processed by sending it to a reviewer or two anonymous referees to assess its contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation (double-blind review). The reviewer's comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary action and response.

The Role of the Peer Reviewers

As a peer reviewer of a manuscript, your input is an important part of the peer review process. Peer reviewers are tasked with assessing the quality of manuscripts for acceptance into the journal. Peer reviewers assess and evaluate the merits of articles, including, among other things, originality and contribution to the field of research, rigor, and completeness of the manuscript.

Review Process by Reviewers

There are several stages in the manuscript peer review process, including:

Stage 1: As a reviewer, you will be notified by email of an invitation to review the manuscript.

Stage 2: Before responding to the invitation to review, peer reviewers must ensure that:
a. The manuscript falls within their area of ​​expertise.
b. No conflicts of interest (e.g., being a manuscript author and providing funding for the research).
c. Able to commit the time allotted for review.

Step 3: Select the appropriate hyperlink based on your availability for review. This action will respond to the journal and update the system with your response.

If you are willing to review, click "Able to review." Otherwise, if you are unable to review or if the article is not your area of ​​expertise, click "Unable to review."

Step 4: Once you agree to review, you will be directed to the submission page where you can click on the file to download, review the full manuscript, and indicate whether you have any competing interests related to the research.

Step 5: Peer reviewers must select a recommendation for the manuscript (Accepted/Accepted with Revisions/Rejected) and provide their feedback to complete the review process.

Accepted research articles will be available online (free download) after the journal's peer review process. The final decision regarding article acceptance will be made by the editor based on the reviewers' comments. Articles sent back to the author for revision must be returned to the editor without delay. Revised articles returned within 20 days will be considered new submissions. Revised articles can be submitted to the editorial board through the Online Submission Interface.
