All articles published in Alif Lam: Journal of Islamic Studies and Humanities are in full open access. In order to provide free access to readers and improve our journal management system, and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, long-term archiving, and journal management, since 2024, an article processing fee (APC) of IDR 300,000.00 applies to accepted papers after peer review paid by the authors or their institutions. The fee covers:

1. It is a standard twelve (12) page manuscript. Additional fees will be charged for each additional page.

2. DOI registration for each paper.

3. Checking the similarity of the final article with the Turnitin application.

A waiver or partial waiver will be available for submissions of papers by authors from outside countries with a minimum of 2 authors or invited authors as decided by the editor in case of lack of funds, excessive length of the submitted manuscript, or other reasonable reasons provided by the author during submission. The author must clearly state that he/she is requesting a waiver in the comments to the editor box during his/her submission. A waiver will most likely be rejected if not requested at this stage. Waivers will not affect the review results.

Translation Fee (Indonesian to English)

Manuscripts submitted to this journal can be written in Indonesian. If the review process decision is accepted for publication, the article will be translated into English by the Alif Lam translation team. Therefore, the author will be charged additional translation fees.
