Psychological well-being during primary education serves as a crucial foundation for a child's socio-emotional resilience; however, this ideal is often overlooked due to the academic reductionism prevalent in modern institutions. Employing a case study design, this research explores the significance of the spiritual dimension in shaping the psychological well-being of students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Darul Habibi Paok Tawah, Lombok, utilizing John Fisher’s "Four Domains Model of Spiritual Well-Being" as an analytical framework. The study reveals the successful institutionalization of Sasak-Islamic cultural spirituality across four key domains: the personal domain, where theological activities foster positive emotions and autonomous emotional regulation; the communal domain, where spiritual counseling based on persuasive-transcendental dialogue effectively mitigates bullying by activating adaptive guilt; the environmental domain, where the physical-social ecosystem is conditioned through “gotong royong” to instill a sense of ownership and environmental mastery; and the transcendental domain, where routines such as solat dhuha and Quranic recitation serve as emotional catharsis, reducing academic anxiety and promoting personal growth. By deconstructing Eurocentric and urban biases, the study demonstrates that the internalization of local values specifically “pasu”, “pacu”, and “laku” that transforms into a natural psychological buffer, bolstering the mental resilience of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students in rural areas.
